We decided to do a poll on our social media platforms of some questions from our lovely following about hair extensions and the steps before, during as well as after…which are all very important in the process of hair extensions. Let’s see what you guys had in mind…

Let’s start off with some of the most asked questions…

How do I book for hair extensions?

To book hair extensions at Ego Salon & Spa with one of our very talented stylist we require a 30 minute consultation in which you and the stylist will go over your desired look, color match you (to what you have already, or if you need additional color), type of extension that would be best fitting, how many you would need for the desired look, and of course, how much for the desired look. We do not book any hair extension appointment with out a 50% deposit to go towards the appointment. This process is actually the most important process in booking & receiving the service.

What kind of lengths/ waves do you offer?

As you can see we have a plethora of colors & tones speciality made to look like your own hair! All of our hair extensions (no matter the method/ type) is made out of real human hair which means you are able to style it as you normally would curls, blow dry, crimped, updo, etc. Which types of lengths do you offer? We offer 16 inches, 20 inches, 22 inches, 24 inches & 30 inches! All extensions are super customizable when it comes to length.

Something you might not know…

Because we specialize in hair restoration// which can be anyone who struggles with post-chemo treatments, hair loss, alopecia, trichotillamania, etc. we can actually cut one full bond of hair extensions as small as 1/4 of it! That creates the tiniest/ most natural extension to add fullness back into the hair… We can also do 1/2 bonds & 1/3 considered as micro extensions…check out the picture below for reference…

How long does the process take?

The process of hair extension application can take up to 4 hours +… this is why the consultation is so important in the process so we can educate our clients on every bit of the process because it very precise, strenuous & tedious.

Can I reuse the hair extensions?

This question has a yes and no answer as it depends on the type of method you receive. If you get Fusion Keratin Bond extensions they are not reusable. They grow out naturally for about 4-6 months of the year. Most people get a fresh set of new hair extensions in that time gap- regardless of the method. If you get I-Tip Extensions they can be reused as they get adjusted every 6-8 weeks // same goes for Tape-Ins. Clip-Ins can be rented or purchased here at Ego Salon & Spa which are good for about 3 years!

How do I take my extensions out?

We felt this question was so important that we decided to create a YouTube video for it! Everyone always asks us…how do I take these out? Is it damaging? Do I need to do anything to prep before?
